These terms are the agreement between you and Spenti. They cover your licence to use the app, how purchases work, and the honest limits of what an AI-powered receipt reader can promise.
Spenti is a helper, not a source of financial truth.
Spenti uses AI to read receipts. That is convenient, but it is not perfect — always review the figures. Spenti is not accounting, tax, or financial advice, and is not a substitute for your official records.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Spenti (the “Provider”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using Spenti (the “App”) or this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Spenti.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country. If you are a minor, you may use Spenti only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Spenti on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business expense-tracking, in line with these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. The App is licensed, not sold, and we and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted.
You agree that you will not:
Spenti processes your receipts and financial data locally on your device. You keep all rights to your data; we claim no ownership over it, and we do not receive it. If you enable the optional Basic or Pro cloud sync, your data is stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive account under Apple's or Google's terms — still without passing through us. You are responsible for your data and for keeping your own backups — see the Privacy Policy for how on-device data, device backups and cloud sync work.
Spenti uses automated OCR and AI to read receipts and bank slips. Accuracy depends on image quality, language, and the format of each receipt, and extracted values — merchant, amount, date, category — may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying everything Spenti records.
Spenti is a personal convenience tool. It is not accounting, tax, financial, investment, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for professional advice or for official financial records. Do not rely on it alone for tax filing, accounting, audits, or legal compliance.
Spenti is free to download and offers optional in-app purchases. Prices and what each purchase includes are shown in the App and on the App Store or Google Play before you buy. All payments are charged to your app-store account and are processed by Apple or Google — not by us.
Spenti is an independent app with limited resources. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, and we may release updates you need to install to keep using it. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we are not obligated to keep the App or any feature available indefinitely. Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis through the support page.
Spenti — including its name, logo, design, rooms, mascot artwork, software, and AI models — is owned by the Provider and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no right to use our name or trademarks.
Your use of Spenti is also subject to the terms of the app store you use (Apple's App Store or Google Play) and of any third-party services referenced in the Privacy Policy. The app stores are responsible for the storefront and payment; they are not responsible for the App's functionality.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spenti is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that receipt data extraction will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, savings or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Spenti — including any reliance on figures Spenti extracted. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to Spenti will not exceed the amount you paid us (through the app stores) for Spenti in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you — including your mandatory rights as a consumer, and liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Provider harmless from claims, losses and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of Spenti or your breach of these Terms.
You may stop using Spenti and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. When the licence ends, you must stop using the App; you can delete it, and any data on your device remains under your control until you remove it. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue after termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and the courts of Thailand have jurisdiction over any dispute — without depriving you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights, or the right to bring proceedings, in your country of residence where the law so provides.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date above shows the current version, and your continued use of Spenti after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
If you downloaded Spenti from the Apple App Store, the following also applies and, where it conflicts, prevails over the rest of these Terms:
